About Us

C.U.B.A. was born out of necessity. For years the environmental codes and ordinances of our county had been ignored. Abandoned and depilated buildings, abandoned vehicles, overgrown vegetation on vacant lots and around homes, litter piled in yards and porches. One individual sick of trying to get local government to enforce the codes and ordinances ran an ad in the newspaper inviting concerned citizens to meet about the deplorable conditions existing in their county. In September 2005, fifteen citizens attended the meeting. Many were just curious as to what was going on. From that meeting, seven citizens met again in October 2005 and formed Clean Up Butts Association.

Over the past two years, we have grown in number, we now number over eighty members, including local civic groups, businesses, church and citizens.

OUR MISSION

Our Mission is to improve the quality of life in Butts County by working with all segments of our community: Government, Educational, Religious, Civic, Private and Business Sectors with the goal of creating a healthier, safer and cleaner county for all citizens.

OUR COMMITMENT

We are dedicated to winning the battle against litter through Education, Enforcement, and Eradication.

Great Communities don't just happen; They are shaped by shared community values and strong leadership.
